Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for Copy Traders
Q: How do I set up copy trading?
A: On the OEX platform, users can flexibly set copy trading parameters according to their needs, including the following:
1. Copy Trading Pair: Select a specified contract trading pair for copy trading (e.g., BTC/USDT, ETH/USDT, etc.).
2. Copy Trading Leverage: Supports two leverage options:
• Fixed Leverage: Manually set a fixed leverage ratio.
• Follow Trader Leverage: The system automatically synchronizes the trader's leverage settings.
3. Copy Trading Margin:
• Fixed Margin: The opening position amount for each copy trade is a fixed value preset by the user.
• Fixed Ratio: Opening a position according to the ratio set by the user based on the trader's order quantity.
Q: Why didn't I copy trade?
A: The following situations may cause copy trading to fail, and the platform will notify the copy trader via in-app message:
1. Insufficient Account Funds: The copy trading account balance is insufficient to meet the opening position requirements.
2. No trade pair was selected for the trader's order. 3. The copy trading margin exceeds the user-set maximum limit or falls below the minimum opening position requirement.
4. Large market fluctuations lead to excessively large price spreads for copy trading; to protect the copy trader, copy trading will not proceed.
Q: Why did the trader profit while I lost money? Why are my returns different from the trader's?
A: The following reasons may cause differences:
1. When the trader adds to their position, if the copy trader lacks sufficient funds, the trading pair is not matched, or the margin settings do not meet the requirements, the addition may fail, affecting overall returns.
2. The amount added to the trader's position each time may differ. If the copy trader is set to a fixed margin mode, the addition ratio cannot be consistent with the trader's, which may lead to differences in the average opening price between the two traders.
Q: How are the trader's profit sharing calculated and distributed?
A: Profit sharing will be automatically deducted and locked when each order is closed. If there is a profit again, the profit sharing will increase; if there is a loss, the profit sharing will be returned according to the net profit ratio. Daily Copy Trading Net Profit: Realized Profit/Loss × Profit Sharing Ratio. This will be the trader's profit sharing, with the specific amount based on the "Copy Trading Profit Sharing" data on the "Capital Statement" page. Profit sharing is distributed at midnight each day when the trader has no open positions.
